RESISTANCE - free documentary screening for Antibiotic Awareness Week
Please join us on Tuesday 17 November 2015 for the screening of the film “RESISTANCE” which looks at the devastating impact of antibiotic resistance and asks “Do we need to save antibiotics to save ourselves?”
Watch the trailor:
"The future of humanity and microbes will likely evolve as episodes of our wits versus their genes. Their genes allow them to adapt to anything we through at them. It is up to us to use our wits to keep up with their genes" - Nobel Laureate, Dr Joshua Lederberg
This free event is jointly hosted by UQ’s Institute for Molecular Bioscience Centre for Superbug Solutions and NPS MedicineWise for the global Antibiotic Awareness Week (16-22 November 2015).
Meet the researchers developing the next generation of antibiotics and learn from NPS MedicineWise how you can help fight antibiotic resistance.
The screening will be held in the Schonell Theatre, The University of Queensland St Lucia, from 6.00pm-7.30pm on Tuesday 17 November 2015.
