This week is World Antibiotic Awareness Week and we are happy to announce the launch of the CO-ADD Thinkable Chemistry Prize.
Dr Alina Ghinet heads-up the chemistry research department at the French School of High Studies in Engineering (HEI) in Lille, France. She is also the recipient of the 2009 L'Oréal-UNESCO Award for Women in Science and used her grant funding to set up the French-Romanian Colloquium on Medicinal Chemistry.
Angie Jarrad is a PhD student at The University of Queensland's Institute for Molecular Bioscience. Her PhD research is focused on developing novel antibiotics to fight anaerobic bacteria and won the 2015 Women in Technology PhD Career Start award.
