Professor Ian Chubb speaks on AMR strategy

Australia's Chief Scientist, Professor Ian ChubbProfessor Ian Chubb, joined RN Breakfast's Political Editor Alison Carabine yesterday to discuss the recent National AMR Strategy: Responding to the threat of Antimicrobial Resistance

Professor Chubbs discusses the need to reduce the number of antibiotics prescribed as part of the national strategy to reduce the threat of antibiotic resistance in Australia.

More importantly, Professor Chubb recognises the AMR research strength of Australia and describes our scientists as some of the best in the world.

"We need to actively engage with the global hunt of new antibiotics," he said.
